WRITIVITY WORKSHOP 2022

Since 2015, the National Gallery of Jamaica (NGJ) has hosted in August, a workshop designed for grade 10 and 11 students preparing to sit the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Visual Arts Examination.

This workshop titled WRITIVITY is organized to assist the targeted students with the development of their visual arts journals.

By participating in WRITIVITY, students will be taught how to properly prepare entries for the journal, analyse art pieces and conduct art-related research within sessions that utilize the NGJ’s art collection and document resources.

In preparation for the workshop which will be offered during the period August 15 – 18, 2022, free of cost, we are seeking your assistance with recommending relevant participants by Friday, August 12, from your class or school, who would benefit from this facilitation.

With that in mind, as soon as you are able, kindly provide me or anyone from the Education Department of the NGJ, with the total number of students who have signaled interest in the workshop, as this will help us to monitor our participant total.
